First Date Tips for Men: Guarantee You a Second One

December 20, 2009 by Janine Hanson · Leave a Comment

First date guidelines are possibly the most vital ones you will ever get. Besides, if the first date is not enjoyable and impressive, you are very unlikely to get a second chance.  Doing great on your very first date can make all the difference between moving on to a long term relationship or making a woman not return your calls.

These are the things you should keep in mind to have a successful first date:

Pointer #1: Location to a good first date…

Same with real estate business, good location is very crucial for the very first date. . Just stop the idea of having a “watching a movie in a theater” date! You really won’t get a chance to know her and impress her if you do this. Sitting next to her for almost 2 hours in silence and just staring at the screen won’t help you at all.

Choose a place where you can really talk and make a good conversation. Do not go to a club where the music is so freaking loud that you need to shout for her to hear you won’t help.  Dining in a restaurant or bistro after a pleasant walk is a  great idea for your first date. The movement allows you both to calm down and then you have  chance to have a comfortable conversation. .

Step No.2: Pick a time that is not stressful

On your very first date with a woman you are really interested in, a daytime date is less stressful. Lunch or having coffee is more comfortable than a dinner, and it really gives you other options. If it really goes well, you can extend your day.  But if  things are not going well, you can free yourself after an hour or two and your evening is still free.

Tip No.3: Make a Backup Plan

The first dating mistake men usually make is not having a backup plan if the date is not working out well. They always think that they do not really need it. But you should always be prepared and make a good back-up plan; if what you are doing is not feeliung comfortable suggest something else, change the venue, go for a walk, go window shopping, something that is fun and not stressful.  Having a back-up plan is a plus factor on your first date, to really give the date a chance.

Tip No.4: Say what you really think

During your conversation on your very first date, it is not advisable to get into really controversial issues.  She might get upset if you ask her these things. And while you are planning for your first date, you should let her know what type of clothing will be suitable for your date. Let her know what about your plans, where the place is and what you will be wearing. She should wear something comfortable and not be overly dressed.

21 Fun Questions To Rescue You On A Date

December 19, 2009 by David Web · Leave a Comment

Questions are the most amazing things to use when we want to learn about someone else, or take away our fear of talking to strangers.  People love talking about themselves and all you have to do is ask questions and listen.

Dale Carnegie in his best selling ever book, “How to win friends and influence people” writes about the amazing power of asking questions to show that we are interested in connecting with someone else.

Have you been to a party and been the one asking all the questions and doing all the listening?   If you have, you will most likely attest that the other person thought that the conversation was quite interesting. You probably did less than 20% of the speaking but you got 100% of the credit!

If you are a guy and skillfully ask questions of a lady, you will often find yourself jumping to home-base, thus saving yourself a lot of legwork trying to build rapport with her. Asking questions and listening is one of the most naturally flattering things you can do to anyone.

If you’re a woman and want to pamper a guy’s ego and make him feel super good and wanted, then just ask him lots of questions and really listen to the answers. You will have the guy dangling on a  string in seconds!

Despite the ego-focused side of asking and listening there is a genuine side as well. Because the people who are genuinely interested in someone else and ask great questions are the people who are always popular and well liked. Faking interest is the worst thing you can do. And at the end of the day, if you are not a natural listener then start to practice.   As t you listen paraphrase what the person just said in a way that shows you really heard them.  Their interest in you will pick up immediately.  As an added bonus, you will start to learn SO much about so many things and you will discover parts of people that are just SO interesting.

Here are 21 questions to ask to get the conversation rolling. They have been written from a female perspective, just switch them around if you are a guy and want to use them. If nothing else it will get you thinking about your own questions – which are always better.

Here are 21 questions to ask a guy or a girl

1. If you’re a waiter and a customer was super rude, would you spill food accidentally on them or think about doing this?

2. What was your favourite Halloween dress up costume as a child and why?

3. If you could choose to have dinner with 5 people (real or fictional) who would you invite and why?

4. If you could suddenly become the invisible man, where would you go and what would you do?

5. If someone was to make a comedy movie about just one part of your life, which part would they script and what would be written?

6. What was your fondest television character when you were a young child? What was it that you liked about them?

8. What do you regret not doing the most in your life?

8. What was the funniest experience in your whole entire life?

9. Have you ever gone on a date with a person who is way smaller or taller than you, and if so how did you find it?

10. How old were you when you had your first proper date? Did you get to kiss them and if so was it a French kiss?

11. What was the worst lie you have ever told in your life? Did you get caught out?

12. If you were suddenly turned into a woman for a day, how would you spend that day?

13. If you do not like someone what do you normally do, show it or hide it and why?

14. What’s the highest priority for you when considering a partner – good looks, intelligence, sense of humor, or something else?

Time to get a little more personal! Maybe you should wait till you have had a few more drinks before asking some of these!

15. Have you ever had sex in a public place? If so did you get caught?

16. What’s the difference between making love and having sex for you and which do you prefer?

17. If you could change the age that you lost your virginity, would you?

18. What turns you on sexually the most and why?

19. Have you ever cheated on your partner? Did they ever find out? If so, what happened?

20. Has anyone ever caught you touching yourself sexually? If they did what did you do?

21. Have you ever had sex with more than one woman at a time?

Tips To Avoid Dating Scams On Free Dating Sites

December 12, 2009 by Vanessa Cruz · Leave a Comment

Dealing with date scams is tiring and also wastes lots of  time and money. From so many listed profiles, it is not easy to detect whether those who approach you are legitimate or not.  Scammers on free dating site can be males or females who create fake profiles, pictures, and even webcam records to attract their targets.

Una webcam
Image via Wikipedia

Alternatively, they may even use real picture if they are good looking enough. Scammers do this to access your money, not your heart. You may not realize how they build relationships, and then lie  and intimidate you until you are broke.  Free dating sites open up more potential for date scams since everyone can register profiles for free.  Therefore scammers can register many profiles, many of them with people who look too good to be true. Be aware if your new ‘friend” looks like a supermodel with perfect face characteristics and beautiful apparel, he/she might be using someone else’s picture.  Finding a great picture is just as easy as some clicks.  To aavoid being scammed ask for more photos and see if they all look real.

Asking this person to be on webcam can also help to see whether they are real or not.  But you should be aware of recorded cams.  Meanwhile  keep your questions polite and have some trust. Who knows perhaps he/she is real and you just have the chemistry.

Be wary if he/she asks you for money in some way. Be very careful of those who talk a lot about bad things that happen in their life or during the day; also be wary of those who always tell you that they love you  and wish to meet you. If you have just known each other for a few days or a few weeks do not give sympathy easily. Scammers would say anything to get money from you.

If he/she talks a lot about him/herself, but does not really answer your questions, then be wary also.  You might just be getting a standard email from them, one that they send to many targets at once to save time and see which one gets trapped. Spend time to read their emails and insist on talking about it. Do not ignore your intuition. If it does not feel like a real two-way communication, let it go. Scammers may also work in teams. So be careful if you do receive a different style of chatting, writing, or language over time.

Take notice if he/she does not give you enough real details about their life despite the fact that you two have been close for months. If you do not know their address or at least their real phone number, then you should be very careful. Of course scammers would not want to get too far into  the game. If you get address information but there is no reasonable response when you send letter, he/she might just have given you a fake address. Trust your gut.

Notice if he/she is lying. You know when someone tells you that  he/she is from an English speaking country but the English they use  is poor or maybe they tell you that they went to college but the conversation does not reflect that level of education;  or maybe  you catch inconsistencies in their stories,… those are signs of dating scams.

Things To Avoid If You Want Online Dating To Work For You

December 9, 2009 by Dorthy Weatherbush · Leave a Comment

Online dating is catching on as a phenomenon more and more. Lots of people are taking advantage of the convenient opportunity to meet potential partners online. It seems to be an easy process and has been yielding great results. Sites like eHarmony.com or Match.com claim to be matching people successfully; so much so that quite a number of their users end up happily married to their soul mate. With the apparent success of online dating, more and more people are beginning to sign up.

Online dating is real and it is here to stay. It’s something that isn’t just for your friend anymore, it’s for you too. That’s right. You can date online as well, but there are a few things that you must know before you start dating online. You want to say and do all of the right things that will not only portray who you are but also be appealing to the line-up of potential dates that may be looking for someone like you.

Therefore, the following are some tips to help online dating work for you:

  • Tip 1 – Never use an old photo. This is a classic error, and one that most people are guilty of from time to time. It’s tempting to send potential dates a picture of yourself from 5 years ago – or maybe 30 pounds ago – but it’s important to resist the urge and always use an honest, up-to-date picture of yourself. You’re looking for a relationship for yourself now, as you are, not for some illusion or misconception that a false picture will convey. You want to find someone that’s attracted to you now, not you as you were at some time in your past.
  • Tip 2 – Never lie on your profile. When starting the adventure that is online dating, your first step is often to write a bio or profile about yourself, so potential dates will have an idea of what kind of person you are, your interests, personality, and so forth. You don’t have to reveal everything, of course, but make sure that the information you give is honest. Don’t make things up in an attempt to seem more interesting or mysterious, because if you do meet someone, your lies will catch up to you and your date might think you can’t be trusted.
  • Tip 3- Don’t ignore emails and messages. With online dating, you should try to give as many people a chance as possible. That doesn’t mean that you have to go out on an actual date with every person you talk to. You should however, respond to emails and try to get a feel for the person writing you . You never know, it could end up in a love connection.
  • Tip 4 – Move slowly. Once you have secured a date with someone, be sure to take things slowly. Never meet someone at your home for a first date. Be sure not to give out too much personal information on a date and try your best to get to know someone on a friendly level first.

If you can try and follow these four simple rules, then it is certain that you will have more success with online dating than if you don’t. Online dating can be a great way to meet people, but you must know the ins and outs of using the internet as a tool. With these tips, you are sure to have an easier time dating online.

Ladies… Learn To Love Yourself & Express Yourself

December 8, 2009 by Erika Ferrerat · Leave a Comment

Atlanta resident, Amber Leigh Salisbury is not only a world acclaimed radio host but is also a motivational speaker who focus on life and love coaching. She has made it her ambition in life to teach women how to empower themselves and learn how to express themselves naturally.

Salisbury knows the importance of self confidence when it comes to getting your voice heard in today’s society. Step number one is believing in yourself.

So many women out there today feel that they are not confident enough to express themselves properly. Salisbury strives to release the unheard voices of many wonderful women who feel trapped in their own lives.

Salisbury has designed seminars which teach ladies everywhere to “Get Your Flirt On”. Through these seminars, she teaches women the tools necessary to realize your worth and take note of how great you are. These tools are essential in coming across as naturally self confident.

Salisbury believes that if women can learn to love themselves they will develop the all important sense of self. Women who can find this power within themselves are more sure of themselves and confident and this will always shine through in the way that someone carries themselves and interacts with people.

The important thing is to stay real. If people get the sense that you are putting on a show or an act, they will be less likely to take you seriously. It is for this reason that you need to believe in yourself and your position in life or cause.

Once you learn to love your life you will allow others to love it with you. You will begin to create a positive energy around you and this will encourage people to actually hear what you are saying and take you seriously.

Finding your self confidence may take time but once you get a taste for the success and that first time that you feel that people are truly listening to what you say you will grow from there. Once you get the feel for it, it will come naturally and soon confidence will overflow.

Amber Leigh Salisbury holds the title radio host, motivational speaker, life coach and Atlanta Love Coach. Her goal is to help women to learn to express themselves naturally. More info now on http://www.threekeystohavingitall.com/

My Favorite Colognes for Men

December 7, 2009 by Courtney Sharp · Leave a Comment

Every time I end up at a department store, I see hundreds of types of cologne for men that I’m curious to try. But I just couldn’t imagine the process of sampling so many colognes to be a pleasant one. We have to leave the art of selecting a good fragrance to our imagination, combined with some smart research.

Perhaps you’re looking to buy a gift for a special friend or a lover, or maybe you want some cologne for yourself. Whatever your objective is, I hope the ideas I’m about to share will be of use to you. Here are a few of the men’s colognes that I enjoy myself.

The first cologne I’m going to mention is one with a unique fragrance that many people are enjoying these days. Lacose Style in Play is the name of the cologne, and jasmine, woods, and musk combine to form a really nice cologne.

Another one that you may enjoy is Calvin Klein’s Obsession. While this cologne is well over a decade old, it still remains one of the most successful colognes of all time. People love the smell, which somewhat resembles watermelon blended with spice and musk.

Or maybe Eternity is a cologne you might enjoy, also by Kalvin Klein

A newer  scent that I love is The One, which is made by Dolce and Gabanna. This cologne has a spicy aroma and they say the spices come from the Eastern part of the world.

Blue Jeans, by Versace. Anyone who prefers a sweet, musky cologne will like this classic fragrance by Versace. You’ve likely smelled it before, and it’s amazing to see how popular this cologne remains.

The last one I’ll mention may be my favorite. I bought this for my boyfriend a year ago and I still haven’t grown tired of it. Armani Code is a newer cologne that’s destined to be a classic. I’d describe it as a lighter scent with a bit of musk.

Visit this writer’s website and learn about Lagerfeld mens cologne and other fragrances.

10 Romantic and “Free” Date Ideas (for men)

December 6, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Many of the most romantic dates you can take your lady out on won’t cost you a dime. This article will give you 10 romantic date ideas that cost little or nothing but boy will they impress the ladies.

What is one of a woman’s most persistent romantic fantasies? That would have to be a long walk on a moonlit beach. In personal ad after personal ad, you see this wish appear. So, why not make it a regular part of your dating repetoire? I guarantee that your lady fair will be far more impressed with a moonlight walk than if you took her to a fancy French restaurant- if possible on a beach- but if not a beach, maybe through a pretty park which is not too dark, or… by a gorgeous river? It may take a little imagination but moonlit walks are magical even in the winter.

If you are doing a daytime date, consider going on a bike ride together. Ride for a while. Stop and have a picnic. Then ride home. The exercise will do you wonders and there’s a sense of having shared space without having to fill it with words.

Most towns have free concerts from time to time, but particularly in the summer months. These range from classical music played by symphonies to patriotic tunes by a military band, to popular music. A concert tells your date that you have a touch of class and in no way screams “cheap.” Planning the picnic you will take together can be a large part of the fun.

Similarly, most museums have at least one evening a month designated as a free, or donation only, night. Take advantage of this and your date will definitely think you have some culture.

Plan a picnic for your date. You don’t have to get imported Cheese or fancy wine. But, do take the time to make the food special. Find out what are her favorite snacks and favorite fruits and pack some along. Fruits such as strawberries are easy to pack and quite sexy at the same time; add a little chocolate sauce and you will be her romantic idol.

Another free dating idea is to volunteer to babysit a married couple’s children. Not only is it fun to play with the rug rats, it gives your date the idea that you could be good with kids in the future. This will make her think more romantically about you.

Along the same lines, go “house shopping.” (Make sure you are only looking at homes well outside your means though so she doesn’t get any ideas.) Again, this has her thinking toward the future which tends to make your lady very happy in the present.

There are also seasonal things that you can do that make great free date events. For instance, at Halloween, carve pumpkins after you go to the pumpkin patch (check the farms nearby) to pic your own. There is something very charming about carving funny faces in a gourd. You will probably have more fun doing this than you would if you spent money on a movie.

Another great date idea is also holiday related. Go out and look at Christmas lights. People spend a lot of time and money competing for the distinction of having the best holiday decorations outside their home. You can take advantage of this entertainment for free!

My final free dating tip is to build a large fire in your fireplace, or hers, drink hot chocolate and read poetry to each other. If that doesn’t get her in the mood, nothing ever will.

Computer Dating Services … Can They Help?

December 3, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

If you’re searching for a “computer dating service” then the chances are good that you’re a single man or woman who is interested in finding an internet based dating service.  If so, you’re in luck because you’ll find plenty of information on this website about online dating.

However, if you found your way here because you searched for “computer dating services” you may be interested to learn that computer dating services are not strictly the same as online dating services.  Yes, some people use the term “computer dating services” in reference to “online dating services”, but the truth is computer dating services actually predate the internet.

Whilst the first online dating service was born in 1995, the first computer dating service was born way back in 1957. Whereas now single men and women all over the world can simply jump on the internet and search for a prospective partner to chat with in real time, the original computer dating services were more like a paper-based, manual process.

When computer dating services first began more than 50 years ago, single men and women would approach real world dating agencies (there was no internet back then!).  They would complete a series of forms with information about themselves, which was essentially yesteryear’s version of creating an online profile.  The dating agency would take the forms and translate the information into a format that could be input into the early computer matchmaking programs, usually via a card reader.  The earliest of these was an IBM computer, which would read the cards and compare the information to find a match. Once a match was found the computer had done its job.  The process then went back into human hands and the dating agency would broker contact between the two single people.

Though it may seem an archaic way of what we now think of as “online dating, computer dating services operated in a way that is vaguely similar to the way online dating works today.  Sure, modern technology has removed the need for forms and replaced card readers with web browsers, but the dating agency is still involved and, whilst the process is more sophisticated and automated, the objective remains exactly the same – to match profiles of  individuals with similar interests for the purpose of finding a suitable person to date.
div class=”zemanta-img” style=”margin: 1em; display: block;”>

IBM System/3 computer with punch card hardware...
Image via Wikipedia

Perhaps the biggest different between the computer dating services of decades past and online dating services of today is societal acceptance.  Thanks to the internet, online dating has become common and very  socially acceptable.  It is no longer an embarrassing activity to participate in and talk about  only with close friends.   Millions of single men and women of all shapes, sizes and beliefs are active members of literally thousands of online dating services and are happy to tell you about it.  And isn’t this  fortunate, because loneliness should not be something anyone has to continue experiencing when there are many like-minded single individuals out there wanting to meet new friends or partners.  Online dating is a vast improvement over trying to find a suitable mate in a bar or on a blind date.

If you’re single and searching, try an online dating service.  Most offer free trials and the ability to browse personal ads without divulging any of your personal information or details.  It won’t take you long to find a service where you feel comfortable enough to try a membership.  Within minutes you could be chatting to your soul mate.  Consider yourself lucky to live now when computer dating has evolved to this level and say thanks to the folks of long ago who tried it even ii its rudimentary form, they made today’s online dating services possibl.e

Dating Agencies: Types and Tips…Online and Off

December 2, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Dating Agencies are a single person’s best friend. If you’re single and looking for a matchmaking service to help you find a potential partner, there’s really no better way than through the use of one or more dating agencies. The online dating services are easy to use and very convenient. There is no need to leave the comfort of your home.

In case you were wondering, there is no difference between a “dating agency” and a “dating service”; they are one and the same thing. The term “dating agency” is perhaps used less frequently by the average person, but it is a common term adopted by the dating services industry as the term “agency” is seen to reflect professionalism and experienced representation.
Whether your preference is to find a dating agency in the real world or to use one of the many dating agencies that exist online, you should first decide what exactly do you want the dating service to do for you. Obviously you are seeking a date, but what exactly are your requirements?

Some dating agencies specialize in finding dates for corporate executives. Others specialize in matching people of a specific ethnicity, whilst some dating agencies will only deal with high-class wealthy customers. Of course, there are also general dating agencies; those that cater to broad needs and who will assist you in determining exactly what you are looking for. It is recommended that you attempt to define your dating goals to the best of your ability in advance. Selecting a suitable dating agency to match your needs from the outset will greatly enhance your chances of a positive experience.

If you are new to the dating service industry you may feel somewhat embarrassed by utilizing such a service, but you needn’t be. Whilst it may all be new to you, the provision of a dating service is what these dating agencies have done professionally f0or a very long time. Further, single women and men who are registered with these dating agencies are just like you – they are looking for a relationship, that may in fact lead to love and marriage in many instances. Once you take the first step toward using the assistance of dating agencies to find a date you will wonder why you ever hesitated.

Of course, not everyone will speak positively of their experiences with dating agencies. Just like the act of dating, not all dating agencies will suit you, and just like any business, not all business/customer relationships go well. You should approach the task of selecting from the pool of possible dating agencies in the same way that you would approach selecting a potential date from the pool of individual profiles. Ask questions, don’t rush in, attempt to learn about others experiences, and try to get a feel for how “professional” their service really is. One of the nice things about the online dating agencies you can go and visit several in one single evening. Many of the paid sites give you a free trial and offer yoru money back if you are not satisfied in 30 days.

Many people choose to register with several dating agencies so that they can evaluate them all before selecting the one that fits them. In the online world this is made very easy. Another great reason to use the online dating sites is that you have a chance to chat and get to know the other person before you ever have to meet in person. The internet offers anonymity until such time as you finally decide to meet up for a date and this also adds an element of comfort to the whole process.

However there are people who prefer face to face meetings as the like the human connection. Your choice of dating service will, in the end, come down to personal preference. If you shortlist a number of dating agencies a good next step is to read their individual terms and conditions and their privacy policies. Doing so can help you identify those who are highly professional and, on the other end of the scale, those who perhaps are lacking the kind of professional services you would hope for. Privacy policies are also extremely important since you want to be certain that the dating agency has processes in place to protect your personally identifiable information. If the dating agency doesn’t have a privacy policy, stay away.

Fortunately, thanks to the popularity of online dating the industry has become quite competitive. Many dating agencies now offer great deals to entice members. Millions of people take advantage of these offers every year, and at any given time of the day most online dating agencies will have hundreds or thousands of singles online, waiting to meet you. You only need to pick one of these dating agencies, take advantage of their introductory offer, create your own profile, search their current pool of profiles for a possible match, and make contact. You might one day thank the dating agencies industry for helping you find your soul mate.
